Following the launch of its innovative active safety AI cell, China's Desay Battery has swiftly secured a major international commercial agreement, highlighting global demand for safer energy storage solutions. At its launch event in July 2025, the company signed a 1 Gigawatt-hour (GWh) with Romanian energy company Voltika. The agreement covers Desay Battery's full "Active Safety AI Cell & System" product suite. This deal is part of Desay's broader strategy to use its proactive safety technology as a foundation for establishing a "local compliance, globally mutual recognition" safety certification system in partnership with industry leaders. The move signifies that cutting-edge safety technology is not just a technical achievement but a key competitive advantage in the global marketplace, helping companies expand into regions like Europe and markets involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
