The battery manufacturer CORNEX Unveils New Cylindrical Batteries for Light EVs at Tianjin Expo

At the 24th China North International Bicycle and E-bike Exhibition, held in Tianjin from March 27 to 29, battery manufacturer CORNEX made a strong impression by debuting its latest cylindrical battery technologies and energy storage solutions designed specifically for the light electric vehicle (EV) market.

One of the standout innovations was the company's new 45Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, developed for electric motorcycles. This model features 2.5C ultra-fast charging—capable of reaching 70% charge in just 15 minutes—along with a continuous discharge rate of 2C and a peak rate of 5C. With a mass energy density exceeding 190Wh/kg and an expected cycle life of more than 3,000 charges, the 45Ah battery offers a robust and safe power option for the growing e-motorcycle segment.
Building on the success of its existing 20Ah cell, CORNEX has also introduced 30Ah and 50Ah variants aimed at low-speed vehicles (LSVs). These new power cells, scheduled for mass production later this year, are optimized to meet the diverse range and performance needs of both two-wheeled and four-wheeled electric vehicles.

Backed by an upgraded smart manufacturing system, CORNEX is poised to significantly boost its light EV battery production.
Looking ahead, the company says it will continue pursuing a dual-track strategy, advancing both LFP and sodium-ion battery technologies to help drive the global shift toward sustainable green mobility.
